ENG This project is more an experiment than a short film. Produced at NYFA, Execution 1 was conceived to be a one shot story in which the two friends sharing a cigarette turn out to be executioner and victim.

ESP Este proyecto surge más como un experimento que como un cortometraje. Producido en la NYFA, Execution 1 quería ser una historia contada en plano secuencia, en la que dos amigos fumándose un cigarillo acabaría siendo víctima y verdugo.

ENG XVII Century, North of Spain. A group of pirates has disembarked in a beach of the Spanish Basque Country. Among the stolen booty there’s two terrorized girls. Their family will try everything in their hands to save them, but the bandits are stronger, and experienced fighters. The girls are stolen, the father killed, and only the child, in a terrible state, survives swearing to get his revenge. Far in the future he might be able to pursue his vengeance.

ESP Un grupo de piratas ha desembarcado en una playa del Cantábrico. Entre los frutos de su rapiña se encuentran dos jóvenes aterradas. Su familia hará lo posible por salvarlas, pero los bandidos son mayores en número, experiencia y fortaleza. Las muchachas son secuestradas, el padre asesinado y sólo el hijo, aunque maltrecho, sobrevive jurando venganza. En un futuro podrá alcanzarla.

ENG John McReebok and Peter O’Nike are two famous gunmen in the small district of Malasaña (Madrid). While one of them is looking for revenge, the other one wonders if this hard lifestyle is really worth it. The Dos de Mayo Square will be the place where these two giants will have their duel, and sheriff Converse will try to have it according to local law. The problem with the outlaw is that they don’t really care about law. There’s no honest people left in Malasaña.

ESP John McReebok y Peter 0’Nike son dos pistoleros demasiado grandes para un barrio tan pequeño como Malasaña Corral. Mientras que uno sólo busca venganza, el otro se plantea si merece la pena un estilo de vida tan complicado. La plaza de Dos de Mayo será el escenario en que se batan estos dos gigantes. El Sheriff Converse intentará que el duelo sea conforme a la ley, pero los forajidos no suelen respetar la ley. No queda nadie honrado en Malasaña.

ENG “Ethiopia, looks and feelings of a country” is my first time as a director. Armed with a mini-dv camera and with my friend and colleague Manu Sainz de los Terreros, we dive into one of the oldest cultures on earth, trying to get, in a very small amount of time, a feeling of the people, their problems and lives. CEU award for best documentary.

ESP Etiopía, Miradas y sensaciones de un País es mi primera vez como director. Armado con una cámara de mini-dv y con mi colega y amigo Manu Sainz de los Terreros, nos lanzamos a un país con una de las culturas más antiguas del planeta y nos intentamos introducir al máximo y en el mínimo tiempo posible en sus casas, sus problemas y sus vidas. Ganador del premio CEU mejor documental.
